Chili receipe

I found this receipe on the back of a package of ground turkey. When I found out that Anthony has never tried chili, of course I then had to make this for him. We both enjoyed this chili and it was so easy to make. I left out the beans since I don't like them, but the chili still turned out good.

        Ground Turkey Chili

            1 pkg.fresh ground turkey
            1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed, or 2 tsp. garlic powder
            3 tsp. vegetable oil
            2 tsp. flour
            2 tsp. salt
            1 cup water
1 12oz. canned tomato sauce with tomato bits
3 tsp. chili powder (more to taste)
            1 tsp. ground cumin
1 16oz, canned pinto or kidney beans

Brown the ground turkey in a large skillet until no pink color remains; transfer to 6 qt. or larger pot. Lightly brown onion and garlic in the oil, then add the flour, and lightly brown the flour. Add the browned blend and the remaining ingredients to the meat, and simmer for 15 minutes.
Serve with fresh jalapeno or bell pepper, grated cheese and/or flour tortillas. (or sour cream)
        Serves 6 to 8 people.
Add 2 cups of water to make a hot dog sauce.
