When I was a young girl, my mother taught me how to embroider. Picked that up very easily. For some reason, I could not do knitting or crocheting. But quite a few years ago, someone I worked with, taught me cross-stitching. I was addicted! There was always a piece being worked on, sometimes three at a time. I truly loved it. In the 80's, I had to have surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome.........on
both wrists. At separate times, of course. Lost some strength in my hands, but went back to my stitching, but a little slower to compensate for the pain. A few years ago, I started having problems with blurry vision and such,
so I quit cross-stitching for a couple of years. Really missed it! Found out it could be from the Fibromyalgia, and have learned to adjust. I still have some blurring and sometimes double vision, but when I am able, I do my stitching. Most of the stuff I did years ago were given away as gifts, but Anthony wants me to begin saving some of the finished projects for myself. So I would have something to pass down to our grandchildren.
These four projects had been started several years ago, and I finally finished them in the late 1990's. Still haven't been able to get them framed, but we will, eventually.
